WHO ARE WE?
The Long Creek Dragon Band already has a very active, supportive parent organization known as the Long Creek Band Parent Association (LCBPA). Without the hard work and dedication of the parents, the band program at Long Creek would not be as successful and productive as it is. There are numerous areas in which interested parents can be involved in supporting the activities of the band. General meetings of the BPA are held throughout the school year; however, numerous committees do most of the band parent organization planning.

WHAT WE DO:
FUNDRAISING
The BPA organize fundraising events, such as the annual Mulch fundraisers, Spirit Night and donation fundraiser to generate funds that are used to support the band program.
VOLUNTEER EFFORTS
The organization depends on a dedicated group of volunteers who generously contribute their time and energy to support a variety of band-related activities. These volunteers play key roles in tasks like organizing events, chaperoning during competitions, running concessions at football games, and much more.
UNIFORM SUPPORT
Volunteers are essential in keeping band uniforms clean and well-maintained. They assist with washing and caring for the uniforms, as well as fitting students into their attire. Their efforts ensure that every student looks sharp and feels comfortable, ready to perform at their best during every event.
SUMMER BAND
The BPA sets up the famous Fruit Snack at summer band camp to keep students refreshed and comfortable throughout their rigorous practice sessions.
PIT CREW & PROPS
Our Pit Crew is a group of parents that work behind the scenes unloading, building, and moving percussion instruments and props. These parents are vital to the success of the marching band, making sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
FEEDING STUDENTS
The BPA will serve meals to students before football games, marching contests, and during summer band.
GET INVOLVED
To get involved and support the Dragon Band BPA, individuals are encouraged to attend the General Band Booster meeting held on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:00pm.
Additionally, if anyone has questions or wants more information about the organization, they can reach out to a member of the BPA Board for assistance.
