The Long Creek High School Dragon Band program has experienced incredible success in its first year. While these achievements are certainly remarkable, equally significant are the connections made within the band community. Students form lifelong friendships, grow as emerging leaders, and create memories that will stay with them forever. The camaraderie within each section—whether woodwinds, brass, percussion, or color guard—is truly special. These students dedicate their time and passion to the program, and it’s evident in every performance.

The support from parents and the broader community has been invaluable. Countless hours are volunteered to help with logistics like equipment, travel, meals, and more—everything to ensure the band’s success.

DRAGON MARCHING BAND

The Long Creek HS Dragon Band will be comprised of freshmen, sophomores and juniors and will have over 150 students in its second year!! The Dragon Band and Color Guard will participate in marching contests, parades, and other events throughout the Fall Semester. Band students will be placed into Band, Percussion and Color Guard classes for the Fall.

CONCERT BANDS

The Long Creek Dragon Band is thrilled to offer three concert ensembles. These groups provide students with the chance to perform in a variety of settings throughout the year, helping them grow both individually and collectively. Whether in large ensembles, smaller groups, or through solo performances, students can sharpen their musical talents. Each ensemble is made up of dedicated musicians who love to perform and share their musical expression in diverse ways.

WINTER GUARD

The indoor competing wing of the Color Guard. Students perform in gymnasiums across the state. Containing all the pageantry of a marching show packed into a five minute show. Guard students get up close and personal to show off the skills they have learned.
